It’s the second straight season Forsberg has tallied in Nashville’s opening three contests; in 2019-20, he began the campaign with goals in four straight games. • If he were to score Friday night, he would tie the franchise record he set last season for longest goal streak to start a season at four games. • Forsberg scored his 167th career goal last Thursday to move into sole possession of second-place on the team’s all-time goals list. • Forsberg’s 168 goals since the start of the 2014-15 campaign – his first full NHL season – are tied for the 18th-most in the League in that time span. DEPTH ON DISPLAY • Through three games, 16 of the 19 skaters to play for Nashville have recorded at least a point, led by Filip Forsberg (3g) and Viktor Arvidsson (1g-2a), who have three each. • Eleven different Nashville skaters recorded a point in Saturday’s win vs. Columbus; 15 had at least one shot on goal; and every player logged at least 10 minutes of ice time. • Seven Preds players have combined to score the team’s 10 goals; Forsberg leads the team with three. QUICK HITS • Nashville’s game vs. Carolina on Tuesday was postponed out of an abundance of caution to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game- day personnel and in consultation with medical experts. • The Predators scored their first power- play goal of the season on Monday via a Viktor Arvidsson slap shot at 13:26 of the third period. • Arvidsson tallied a goal and an assist on Monday for the first multi-point game by a Preds player this season. • Pekka Rinne made 20 saves in his season debut on Monday vs. Carolina. • Out of the 19 skaters to have appeared for Nashville this season, seven did not play for the team during the 2019-20 campaign. • The defensive pairing of Matt Benning and Mark Borowiecki has skated 40:52 together in all situations in Nashville’s first three games. The two have been on the ice for three Preds goals compared to one against and have teamed up to block nine shots and dish out six hits. • In addition to his game-winning goal on Saturday, Brad Richardson tallied an assist in Thursday’s season-opener to give him two points on the season.
