Ole Miss reached the 2019 NCAA Tourna- ment for the first time in four years, and in his first season with the program, Hamilton helped mentor the highest scoring duo in the SEC in all-conference guards Tyree and Terence Davis. Hamilton also helped recruit a top-20 class for Ole Miss in 2019, one of the highest-rated classes in school history. The 2020 and 2021 classes also featured the highest-rated recruits the program had signed. Before coming to Ole Miss, Hamilton was part of one of the best runs in school history at Middle Tennessee. The Blue Raiders won three straight Conference USA Championships, recorded two NCAA Tournament upsets over No. 2 seed Michi- gan State (2016) and No. 5 seed Minnesota (2017), and won a school-record 31 games in 2016. Hamilton also had assistant coaching stints at Houston, Tulane, The Citadel and Division II Tarleton State. The Oxford, N.C., native graduated with his master’s in physical education with a concentra- tion in sports administration from UNC Pem- broke, where he was graduate assistant coach for the basketball team from 2003-05. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Duke in 2002. Hamil- ton was a four-year letterman for the Blue Devil football team as a defensive back. He signed a free-agent contract with the New York Giants. After being cut during the preseason, Hamilton decided to get into coaching, but opted to follow his passion of basketball. Carr spent the last two seasons on College of Charleston’s staff with Kelsey. “Thomas Carr truly embodies all of the essen- tial talents to be a highly effective assistant coach in this new era of college basketball,” Kelsey said. “His recruiting network is vast as he is wired like few I’ve been around at the grassroots, high school and junior college levels. His ability to connect and build trust with players is elite. His body of work includes over a decade at the college level but also experience at the highest level of high school and AAU basketball. During that time, he also con- nected with numerous coaching staffs across the country as Scouting Director of Your Fourth Assistant, while also working as Director of Team Loaded NC, one of the premier AAU programs in the country. Before that, Carr spent five combined seasons as an assistant coach under current NC State head coach Kevin Keatts with both the Wolfpack and UNC Wilmington. During the 2017-18 and 2018-19 campaigns, NC State went 45-24, highlighted by a 2018 NCAA Tournament berth. Carr’s time at UNC Wilmington was transfor- mative for the program, producing three straight regular season CAA championships, two CAA Tournament titles and back-to-back NCAA trips in 2016 and 2017. Carr specifically coached the Seahawks’ backcourt and helped cultivate six players who received all-conference honors in three years. Carr broke into the Division I coaching ranks in 2013-14 as an assistant coach at East Tennessee State with the Bucs making a nine-win improve- ment from the previous season. He began his coaching career at Chipola College in 2009, then joined Keatts for his final season at Hargrave Military Academy in 2010- 11.That year, Hargrave finished the season as the No. 1 prep school in the country and saw eight players sign D-I scholarships. Carr also spent one season leading George Washington High School to a 25-3 mark as the head varsity coach before landing the assistant coach position at East Ten- nessee State. Cassidy was an assistant coach for the U19 Australian National Team at the U19 FIBA World Cup in July 2021 just before joining the Charles- ton staff as an assistant coach. Prior to that, he spent five years playing an integral role on staff with the Basketball Australia Centre of Excel- lence, a world-class institution dedicated to junior basketball development in Australia and the future Boomers and Opals, who compete for the Australian Men’s and Women’s National Teams. With the Centre of Excellence, Cassidy was as an assistant coach competing in the NBL1 (Divi- sion II Pro League) in Australia. Additionally, he worked in-step with the NBA Global Academy, which is housed in Canberra, Australia. The Cen- tre of Excellence has produced several NBA stars, including Andrew Bogut, Matthew Dellavedova, Dante Exum, Joe Ingles, Luc Longley, Patty Mills and more. Ukaegbu has been with Kelsey for many years going back to his days playing for the coach at Winthrop. He spent the last three seasons as director of player development at CofC. “Jermaine is one of the most extraordinary human beings I’ve ever worked with,” Kelsey said. “There is a light in him that is hard to describe, but you feel it when you are with him. He was a captain for us years ago at Winthrop, and I knew immediately that he would be an amazing coach. His understanding of our system and his ability to teach it is excellent. He pours into the lives of players and connects with them on all levels like few I’ve ever been around. His primary role in our basketball system is that of assistant defensive coordinator. He excels in on-court player develop- ment. Last year, he was huge in the development of James Scott who was the third-youngest player in all of Division I basketball. That followed a two-year playing career for the Eagles, in which he appeared in 59 games with 10 starts and served as a team captain in each season. Ukaegbu joined the Eagles from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, where he averaged 3.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 62 percent from the floor and helped the Warriors to a berth in the NJCAA National Championships. He began his playing career at Sacred Heart where he appeared in 20 games with three starts. Ukaegbu is involved with “Nations of Coach- es.” He presented his testimony and the impact that he brought to Winthrop basketball as a for- mer player and graduate assistant. Foy spent the last three seasons with Kelsey as Director of Sports Performance at College of Charleston, where he oversaw all 19 sports while working primarily with men’s basketball and beach volleyball. Prior to Winthrop, Foy spent three years on the University of Arizona men’s basketball strength and conditioning staff. The Seattle native is one of only three players to be named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big East Tournament twice. He was also the Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2012-13. Siva ranked first and third in UofL history for most assists in a single season, as well as second for most assists in a career. His 90 steals in 2012-13 were the most ever in a season by a Cardinal, and he had the second-most steals in a UofL career. Siva was selected in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons and went on to play pro ball domestically and overseas for 10 years. He returned to Louisville with his family fol- lowing his playing career and competed for “The Ville” TBT alumni team last summer. Johnson is a 2021 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where he was a three-time Dean’s List honoree. From 2017-21, the Cincinnati native served as the head junior varsity coach and fresh- man boys basketball coach at Turpin High School while attending Cincinnati. From 2016-21, Johnson was also a basketball skills trainer and business operator at Ohio Cham- pion Basketball, training players from the NBA, WNBA, professional leagues overseas and the col- legiate level. Connor joins Louisville after serving as Kelsey’s video coordinator at College of Charleston last season. Before that, he spent two years as a gradu- ate manager on Kelsey’s staff. “Braden is so much more than what his title states,” Kelsey said. “He lives and breathes our culture and has a positive impact on everyone he comes in contact with. He is beloved by everyone in our program from players to coaches to staff. Braden is a bright basketball mind and does a tre- mendous job operating all facets of our basketball video operations. The Cincinnati native participated in two national tournaments with the Saints, peaking as high as No. 18 in the national poll. He earned his graduate degree in communication from Charles- ton in 2023.Stephanie Diebold Davis Administrative Assistant Stephanie Diebold Davis has been a member of the University of Louisville men’s basketball staff since 2001. With over 20 years of experience in Cardinal Athletics, Davis has worked as an administrative assistant for UofL Basketball since 2001, helping to manage such areas as recruiting travel, business operations, compliance, fan requests, alumni ticket requests and event planning, assisting in team travel and many other tasks. She will continue to do those items in an expanded role, as well as overseeing student-athlete housing, prospective student-athlete campus visits, visiting team needs, player tickets and other matters. Davis was a standout volleyball player at Murray State as a middle hitter for three seasons (1995-97). She earned OVC All-Newcomer honors (1995), was twice named All-OVC (first team 1995, second team 1996), and was on the OVC All-Tournament team in 1995. She is among the Murray State career top ten in kills (1,106, 10th) and block assists (219, fourth), total blocks (263, sixth) and kill percentage (.236, 10th). She holds the single-season school record in block assists with 105 in 1996. Additionally in single season records, her 70 block assists in 1995 is tied for the eighth highest at Murray State, is sixth in kills with 526 in 1996, fifth in total blocks (121 in 1996) and ninth in attacks (1,302 in 1996). Her .765 attack percentage against Tennessee State in 1996 is the best single-match effort for a Racer with 15-19 attacks; her 34 kills in five sets against Arkansas Little Rock in 1996 is the third-most in school history; and her eight block assists against Saint Louis in 1996 is tied for the third highest at Murray State. Davis coached youth volleyball teams for 13 years at St. Albert the Great School in Louisville and for four years with the Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Association while also organizing team schedules and practice plans. Davis is a 2015 cum laude UofL graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in sport administration at UofL. She studied sports medicine with a minor in nutrition while at Murray State. She is married to Chris Davis and has three daughters: Shea Thompson, Alexandra and Nora. Tom Pupavac Creative Director for Men’s Basketball Tom Pupavac enters his first season at UofL as the creative director for men’s basketball for the 2024-25 season under head coach Pat Kelsey. Pupavac will be spending his fourth season in creative content in the 2024-25 year after spending the previous three seasons under Kelsey at Charleston. He previously played four seasons of basketball under Kelsey at Winthrop. “It is an honor to be welcomed into the Louisville Basketball family and a privilege to be a part of the rich history this program has been founded on,” said Pupavac. “I’d like to thank Coach Kelsey for the opportunity here and the trust he has in my vision over the years! Go Cards!” In his role, Pupavac is responsible for producing digital creative projects involving the men’s basketball program including photography, videography and graphic design. He collaborates with the coaching staff to produce all creative recruiting content for targeted prospects and leads creative projects with prospects during their official visits. He helped double the Cougars social media metrics during his three years in Charleston. In 2022, the Cougars ranked 98th in total social interactions, 74th in interaction rate, 87th in total views and experienced the third-best growth rate in DI men’s basketball. An Australian native, Pupavac graduated in 2021 from Winthrop with a degree in business administration. In his four seasons on the court with Kelsey, the won two conference championships. Katie Creznic Associate Athletic Trainer Katie Creznic enters her first season at UofL as an associate athletic trainer for the 2024-25 men’s basketball season under head coach Pat Kelsey. Creznic comes to the University of Louisville after spending two years working with men’s basketball and women’s golf at the College of Charleston. In her time with the Cougars basketball program, Charleston won back-to-back conference championships, making trips to the NCAA Tournament. “I am so blessed and excited to continue working with Coach Kelsey and his amazing staff here in Louisville,” said Creznic. “The resources and support that are poured into this program medically and beyond are second to none. I can’t wait to serve our student-athletes and help them achieve incredible success on and off the court. Together we will build something truly special. Go Cards!” Prior to her work with Kelsey at Charleston, Creznic was at Morgan State University working with men’s basketball first as an assistant athletic trainer (2017-18) before being promoted to Director of Sports Medicine from 2018 onward. She interned at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., from 2013-2015 and was a graduate assistant at the University of South Carolina. While in the Palmetto State for graduate school, she worked at Dreher High School and South Carolina State University. Outside of college athletics, Creznic was an athletic trainer at the 2022 NBA Combine and G League Elite Camp as well as the NBA x HBCU Sum- mer League Combine that same summer. Creznic holds certifications in Graston Level 1, Myofascial Cupping, Intricate Art Dry Needling Level 1, PES and FMC-C. Creznic graduated from Messiah College (now University) with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training in 2013. She added on a master’s in advanced athletic training in 2017 from the University of South Carolina. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Coach Kelsey, the entire coaching staff and the UofL athletic department for the honor of joining the Louisville Basketball staff.” Wexler rejoins many familiar staff members as he spent the last three seasons at the College of Charleston. He was head manager for Coach Kelsey and crew during his entire tenure with the Cougars and was elevated to Coordinator of Analytics in his final season. While Wexler was in Charleston, the team won two regular season Coastal Athletic Association championships along with two tournament championships. He earned his bachelor’s degree from CofC and graduated magna cum laude. Wexler is originally from Memphis and currently resides in Louisville. Dana Brown Assistant Director - Strategic Communications Dana Brown is in her second season with Louisville Men’s Basketball and her first as the primary sports information director. In her role, Brown is responsible for all communica- tion efforts for the men’s basketball program including media relations, public relations and social media strategy and execution. In her first season with the Cardinals, 2023-24, she served as the social media manager as well as the secondary media relations contact, handling all player media. Brown is also the media relations contact/social media manager for the Louisville Men’s Tennis program. Additionally, she serves on the department’s Name, Image and Likeness Working Group and coordinates communication efforts between the official collective of UoL, 502Circle, and the athletic department. During April 2024, Brown led the communication strategy for the collective and department’s $1 million matching campaign, a feat that was achieved in just over two weeks. Prior to coming to UofL in August 2023, Brown was the Assistant Direc- tor of Communications/Strategic Initiatives at Western Kentucky University Athletics. She was the primary contact for WKU Hilltopper Basketball, men’s and women’s golf and worked in the NIL and Student-Athlete Development departments. She was honored in the inaugural College Sport Communicator’s 30 Under 30 Class in 2022. Brown first began her work as a volunteer student worker in the WKU Athletic Media Relations Office before being promoted to Media Relations Assistant. She was a graduate assistant in the same office for almost two years before being brought on full-time. In her time on The Hill, she served as the secondary or primary contact for a variety of sports including men’s basketball, football, men’s and women’s golf, women’s tennis and track and field. Brown graduated from WKU with her bachelor’s degree in Sport Manage- ment with a minor in Business Administration in 2020, and again in 2022 with her master’s degree in Sport Administration with a concentration in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration. Jalen Phillips Associate Director of Academic Service Jalen Phillips serves as an Associate Director of Academic Services and is the athletic academic coun- selor for the Men’s Basketball and Women’s Tennis teams. Phillips was a former intern in the Academic Services for Athletics department before making stops at Villanova University as an Academic Support Intern, the University of Southern Mississippi as an Athletic Academic Counselor and Graduate Assistant/Internship Coordinator, and the University of Memphis as an Athletic Academic Counselor. He worked with several different teams at those universities including: football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, women’s golf, men’s golf, men’s soccer, softball, men’s tennis, women’s rowing, women’s volleyball, and women’s water polo. Originally from Bardstown, Ky., Jalen attended Bethlehem High School before attending UofL. He graduated from UofL with both his bachelor’s degree in 2016 and master’s degree in 2018. He is a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A). Phillips and his wife Ashley, have two children. A daughter named Aliza, and a son named Carmelo Tiffany White Associate Director of Sports Nutrition Tiffany White joined the UofL Athletics staff in 2021 as Associate Director of Sports Nutrition and is in her fourth year working with the Cardinals’ men’s basketball team. White is a registered dietitian and master’s graduate in nutrition with a background in exercise science. She came to UofL after serving as a clinical dietitian at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. She completed an immersive fellowship in sports nutrition at St. Vincent Sports Performance in Indianapolis, working with Butler University Athletics. She also served as a dietetic intern at Northwestern University Athlet- ics where she worked with the Wildcats’ football, soccer and basketball teams. White served as a registered dietitian with Chicago Spine and Sports, where she also served as a personal trainer and a rehabilitation specialist. She has taught sports nutrition as an adjunct instructor and course developer for two years at Trinity International University and as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago. A certified personal trainer, White earned her bachelor’s degree in kine- siology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2015 and also earned her master’s degree in nutrition from UIC in 2018.
