The Eagles have played a tough non- conference schedule, visiting NC State, Virginia, North Carolina, Dayton and now Kentucky • Gage Lattimore leads the Eagles in scoring at 19.5 points per game and 35 3-pointers Last Time Out Kentucky fell, 94-59, to Gonzaga on Fri- day night in Nashville. • Entering the game shooting 76.8 per- cent at the foul line, Kentucky had another solid night at the charity stripe, making 20 of 26 for 76.9 percent • Kentucky claimed 12 offensive re- bounds and won second-chance points, 15-10 • Otega Oweh led UK with 16 points (tied season high), five rebounds (tied season high) and a season-high five assists • He also had two steals, his fourth straight game with multiple thefts • He made 9 of 10 free throws, most foul shots made by a Wildcat this season • Collin Chandler had 11 points, the eighth time in nine games in double figures Notable Achievements Thus Far Kentucky is off to a 5-4 start to the season and have achieved a few notable achievements: • The 50-point margin of victory over Tennessee Tech is largest for UK under head coach Mark Pope. Kentucky has four wins this season with at least 40-point mar- gins, the quickest into a season in UK his- tory (seven games) with four such games. • Kentucky did not allow a member of Loyola (Md.) to score more than seven points in the win over the Greyhounds. It was the first time a UK defense prevented a scorer of more than seven points since Nov. 23, 2014 vs. Montana State • UK has had three games already with nine players scoring at least six points. That only happened three other times between 2004-05 and 2024-25 • Kentucky limited each of its first two opponents of the season to 59 points or fewer for the first time since 2014-15 • The Cats have at least one win by 48 or more points in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2011-12 and 2012-13 • Kentucky limited Nicholls to just 15 points in the opening half, it was the lowest points yielded in the first half in Rupp Arena by the Cats since EKU scored 14 on Dec. 7, 2014 Balanced on the Stats Sheet Balance has been the name of the game for the Cats thus far this season. • UK has had seven different leading scorers or co-leaders through the first nine games. • UK has also had six different players lead or co-lead in rebounds • Six players have led or co-led in as- sists • Kentucky has had nine players score at least six points in three games already this season (Valparaiso, Eastern Illinois, Loyola (Md.)) Otegatron Finding His Footing Otega Oweh missed most of fall camp as he recovered from a turf toe injury. It's taken a few weeks to find his footing, but Oweh is beginning to look more and more like the breakout player the Cats had a sea- son ago. • Oweh has scored in double figures in all nine games and has topped double figures in 42 of 45 games played in the Blue and White overall • He has scored a season-high 16 points in three straight games • Against Gonzaga, Oweh had two steals -- it marked his fourth straight game with multiple thefts • He made 9 of 10 free throws against Gonzaga, all season highs and the most of any UK player this season. Oweh was 149- 192 at the charity stripe a season ago • Oweh has dished out multiple assists in each of UK's last eight games -- the longest such streak of his career From Press Row 14 n @KentuckyMBB KENTUCKY BASKETBALLWe’re your Shield.
