They have combined for more than 4,000 wins, 11 on-court national championships and 27 Final Fours, includ- ing a combined six since 2011. Countless All-Americans have put on uniforms for the two schools. • UK owns an all-time record of 39-17 against the Cards • The Cats are 21-5 all-time when the game is played in Lexington and have not lost inside of Rupp Arena since 2007-08 • The two schools had a 24-year gap without a game following the 1959 meeting before the “Dream Game” revived the series in 1983. The two schools played each oth- er every year since, except for the 2021-22 contest which was canceled due to COVID concerns within the Louisville program • The highest-scoring game came in 1991 when UK won 103-89 • Prior to Louisville’s win in 2016, Ken- tucky’s four-game winning streak in the series was the longest since UK won five straight from 1916-51 • When Mark Pope was on the UK ros- ter from 1994-96, the Wildcats were 2-1 against the Cards. No. 2 Kentucky earned a 78-70 win over No. 7 Louisville in Lexington during his redshirt season. Louisville upset No. 5 Kentucky during the 1994-95 season in Louisville by an 88-86 score. During the 1996 title run, Pope's No. 4 team notched an 89-66 win over No. 25 Louisville • Pope had nine points and 10 rebounds in the 1995 matchup, and tallied two points and three boards in the win in 1996 • Kentucky and Louisville are the only two major-conference teams to not re- turn any production from last year's roster, meaning for the first time in program history, there will be no players on either squad who have registered stats in the matchup Five Score in Double Figures as No. 5 Kentucky Tops Colgate Kentucky jumped out to a huge lead, then fell behind early in the second half, only to rally late and beat Colgate 78-67 on Wednesday night at Rupp Arena. All five UK starters scored in double fig- ures in the contest, led by Koby Brea, who had 17. Otega Oweh and Amari Williams each had 15, and Andrew Carr added 10 re- bounds. Carr and Jaxson Robinson finished with 11 points apiece. “Our guys rang the bell the way that they do,” said UK head coach Mark Pope. “We got contributions from a bunch of guys, we protected the ball, which was a point of em- phasis for us. We got some guys some min- utes in different situations they haven’t had. It was a good night.” Some additional notes from the win: • It’s the sixth time in 10 games that at least five Cats have hit double digits in scoring • Kentucky won the rebounding, 46-35. UK has won or tied the rebounding in all but one game this season • Kentucky sent Colgate to the free-throw line for three attempts, fewest for a Wildcat opponent since North Florida shot only two on Nov. 26, 2021 1K Wildcats With Kerr Kriisa and Koby Brea crossing the 1,000 career points threshold in con- secutive games vs. Gonzaga and Colgate, Kentucky now has six players (Ansley Al- monor, Lamont Butler, Andrew Carr, Kerr Kriisa and Amari Williams) who have all eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau for their collegiate careers. Jaxson Robinson is nearing the mile- stone, needing just 40 more points. The Century "Mark" Kentucky's offense has ambushed op- ponents in the early season, particularly in the friendly confines of Rupp Arena. UK is averaging 91.1 points per game, the most in the nation as of Dec. 11. The Cats are scoring 96.9 points per game at home and have already eclipsed the century mark in four games this season. It marked the first time UK has scored 100 points in four of its first seven games since the 1977-78 sea- son. The Wildcats' most 100-point outings in a single season is 15 during the 1970-71 season.Thank You to Our CORNERSTONE PARTNERSNEAround the SEC Around the Country 2024-25 SEC Standings and Statistics Team SEC Overall Home Road Florida 0-0 9-0 5-0 1-0 Oklahoma 0-0 9-0 5-0 0-0 Tennessee 0-0 9-0 5-0 1-0 Kentucky 0-0 9-1 5-0 0-1 Vanderbilt 0-0 9-1 5-0 1-0 Auburn 0-0 8-1 4-0 0-1 Georgia 0-0 8-1 6-0 1-0 LSU 0-0 8-1 6-0 1-0 Ole Miss 0-0 8-1 5-0 1-0 Mississippi State 0-0 8-1 5-0 1-0 Missouri 0-0 8-1 8-0 0-1 Arkansas 0-0 8-2 6-0 1-0 Texas 0-0 8-2 5-1 1-0 Texas A&M 0-0 8-2 5-0 0-1 Alabama 0-0 7-2 3-0 1-1 South Carolina 0-0 6-3 4-1 1-1 Scoring Player-Team ...................................................................PPG Johnson, Tre - Texas ....................................................21.11 Broome, Johni - AUB ..................................................19.56 Edwards, Jason - VU ...................................................19.20 Lanier, Chaz - UT ...................................................... 19.11 Hubbard, Josh - MISS ST .............................................19.00 Rebounding Player-Team ...................................................................RPG Broome, Johni - AUB ...................................................11.89 Murray-Boyles, Collin - SC ...........................................9.44 Williams, Amari - UK ...................................................9.20 Kaluma, Arthur - Texas ..................................................8.22 Chest, Corey - LSU ........................................................8.13 Assists Player-Team ...................................................................APG Zeigler, Zakai - UT ........................................................8.11 Fland, Boogie - ARK ......................................................5.40 Murray, Jaylen - UM ......................................................4.78 Fears, Jeremiah - OK ......................................................4.67 Taylor IV, Wade - T A&M ...............................................4.50 Steals Player-Team ...................................................................SPG Matthews, Cameron - MISS ST .......................................2.67 Tanner, Tyler - VU ..........................................................2.60 Fears, Jeremiah - OK ......................................................2.56 Murrell, Matthew - UM .................................................2.43 Pedulla, Sean - UM........................................................2.33 Blocks Player-Team ...................................................................BPG Broome, Johni - AUB .....................................................2.78 Ivisic, Zvonimir - ARK ....................................................2.33 Shedrick, Kadin - Texas ..................................................2.11 Collins, Daimion - LSU ..................................................2.00 Williams, Amari - UK ...................................................1.80 (statistics through December 12 games) 2024-25 Associated Press Rankings As of December 9, 2024 (week 6) Team Record Points 1 Tennessee (58) 8-0 1544 2 Auburn (3) 8-1 1438 3 Iowa State (1) 7-1 1424 4 Duke 7-2 1295 5 Kentucky 8-1 1284 6 Marquette 9-1 1274 7 Alabama 7-2 1126 8 Gonzaga 7-2 1082 9 Florida 9-0 1030 10 Kansas 7-2 940 11 Purdue 8-2 840 12 Oregon 9-1 784 13 Oklahoma 9-0 567 14 Michigan 8-1 522 15 Houston 5-3 514 16 Clemson 9-1 491 17 Texas A&M 8-2 415 18 UConn 7-3 394 19 Ole Miss 8-1 379 20 Wisconsin 8-2 307 21 Michigan State 8-2 292 22 Cincinnati 7-1 288 23 San Diego State 6-2 276 24 UCLA 8-1 229 25 Mississippi State 8-1 179 18 @KentuckyMBBWe’re your Shield.
