During her time on the Kentucky women’s basketball team, she tore both her ACLs in less than three years. Both times, she was able to heal and come back better and stronger thanks to the work of Dr. Scott Mair, a sports medicine specialist at UK HealthCare Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine and team surgeon for UK Basketball. Now, as an assistant coach for the team she used to play for, Amber uses what she learned from her injuries—patience, determination, and mental toughness—to inspire her players to overcome their own challenges, on and off the court. Coach Smith is proof of The Power of Advanced Medicine. “ WHAT WAS DONE FOR ME, I WANT TO DO FOR OTHERS”Next >
