Colonial Life ArenaAllie Law loves caring for people. Her dream job was to make a difference in the lives of those around her. For four years she balanced nursing school and cheering as a member of the University of Kentucky Cheerleading team. But one day at cheerleading practice, she landed wrong and tore her ACL. With graduation around the corner, Allie chose to push back her surgery, completing 36 hours of clinicals on her torn ACL. Thereafter, she had surgery with Dr. Austin Stone, a knee specialist at UK Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine. Fortunately, her ACL tear missed vital tissues, but her recovery process was challenging, as she was juggling rehab with her transition into an active career. And while she’s still healing, Allie is now accomplishing her dreams as a nurse at UK HealthCare’s Markey Cancer Center. Allie is proof of The Power of Advanced Medicine. “I HAD TO GET BACK ON MY FEET.” READ ALLIE’S STORYNext >
