< Previous100 OLYMPICS SPORTS UPDATE: GYMNASTICS AUBURNTIGERS.COM The 2025 gymnastics season is quickly approaching, and head coach Jeff Graba is expectant for what’s to come in the 50th year of Auburn gymnastics. One thing Graba and the Tigers are looking forward to is another sold out season in Neville Arena as season tickets are once again a hot commodity among the Auburn faithful. “The interest here is off the charts,” Graba said. “We cannot thank the Auburn family enough for all the support they have shown us in the past and for what they continue to show us with all these sellouts.” The Tigers and the home fans are in for a treat this year as the team hosts one of the toughest home schedules in the country, welcoming Arkansas, Oregon State, Georgia, Oklahoma and LSU to the Plains. “We simply have the best competitive environment in the country,” Graba said. “There is nothing better than competing in front of your home fans. We are banking on a home crowd advantage in this extremely tough home schedule.” The 2025 edition of Auburn gymnastics is looking to get the team back on track after back-to-back NCAA regional losses in California (2023 and 2024). With a big roster full of returning experience and a wealth of fresh talent, the Tigers have big goals for the season that include making a comeback to the NCAA Championship. “We have a large team this year and a very young team as well,” Graba said. “I think our goals are always going to be high and having a taste of the final a few years back simply makes us want to return.” The Tigers will be relying on that experience group to guide the new talent this season. That crew includes All-SEC fifth years in Olivia Hollingsworth and Gabby McLaughlin as well as senior All-Americans Sophia Groth and Sara Hubbard. A crew of talented sophomores will also be looked to fill in lineups after a year of competition under their belts. That group is made up of Olivia Greaves, All-SEC performer Julianne Huff, Paige Zancan and Emma Grace Boyd. “We have a lot of seniors and experience on this team,” Graba said. “It’s a group who know what it takes to compete at this level.” The freshmen squad includes elite-level gymnasts Katelyn Jong and Marissa Neal, whom have international experience with Team USA. Olivia Ahern and Sophia Bell are coming off successful club careers as well. “We do have a lot of talent with this class,” Graba said. “I would expect that we’ll see freshmen sprinkled in every lineup from the very early parts of the season.” The Tigers also added a pair of talented transfers in sophomore Alex Irvine and senior Sarah Zois. Irvine came from UCLA and Zois joined the team from George Washington. “We are looking for our transfers to contribute right away,” Graba said. “These two have a lot of talent and should bring a lot to the table.” With a lot of expectation on the horizon for the team, Auburn can’t wait to get started in front of the home crowd as the squad hosts its annual Preview Meet on December 18. “There is simply nothing better than our crowd and we can’t wait to get in front of them in a few short weeks,” Graba said.
