He ranks fourth in the league with 302.5 yards of total offense per game in 2026. n In three seasons and 26 games under defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, Auburn is allowing 20.3 points per game and 106.1 rushing yards per game. The 20.3 PPG during the span is ninth in the country and third in the SEC, while the 106.1 rush YPG is third in the country and tops in the league. n The defensive performance versus Southern Miss marked the 10th time under Durkin the Tigers held the opponent to 300 or fewer total yards and the fourth time to hold the opponent to 50 or fewer yards rushing. n Andre Jordan Jr.’s interception return for a touchdown on the first play of the Southern Miss game extended the program’s streak of consecutive seasons with a defensive touchdown to 25. n In the first two games of the season, 45 players have made their Auburn debuts. n Saturday’s game vs. Florida marks the 24th consecutive sellout at Jordan-Hare Stadium dating back to 2023. Florida won, 24-13, behind 234 passing yards and two touchdowns from quarterback Kyle Trask, who outperformed Auburn quarterback Bo Nix’s 145 yards (one touchdown, three interceptions). n The Gators and Tigers have not played in Auburn since Oct. 15, 2011 (L, 17-6). Florida was held to 194 total yards. n Florida’s last win in Auburn occurred on Oct. 16, 1999, as the Gators won their third-straight at Jordan-Hare, 31-14. Florida was the first opponent to play in Auburn Stadium (now Jordan-Hare) in 1939, resulting in a 7-7 tie. n Despite trailing the all-time series by four games, Florida is 17-11 across the last 28 meetings with Auburn since 1980, including 12-6 in the last 18 since 1990 and 9-4 in the last 13 since 1995. Sumrall is the first UF coach to make his road debut at Auburn since Al Buser in 1917. Both Buser and Charles McCoy (1914) faced Auburn in their first games away from home as UF head coach. Sumrall would be the first to win. n Sumrall is the 12th UF head coach to start 2-0 and first since Jim McElwain in 2015, joining Steve Spurrier (5-0) and Urban Meyer (4-0). Florida is 2-0 for the first time since 2021. A 3-0 start would mark UF’s first since 2019. n Entering Week 3, Florida grades as the No. 2 overall team in the FBS (97.0), trailing only Georgia and ranking just ahead of Miami. The Gators grade No. 1 in defense and run defense, No. 2 in tackling and coverage, No. 5 in offense and receiving, and No. 8 in run blocking. Florida is also one of 10 FBS teams with zero sacks allowed through Week 2. The Gators are averaging 4.42 points per drive, which ranks second in the FBS. n UF ranks second in the FBS in net punting (52.0), third in scoring offense (59.0), fourth in punt return average (34.6), fifth in fumbles recovered (3), sixth in total offense (569.0), and ninth in punt return defense (0.0) and takeaways (5). n Florida reps the nation’s No. 3 special teams unit, No. 5 running back room and No. 9 wide receiver group (Phil Steele). n As Florida’s first returning 1,000-yard rusher since 1992, RB Jadan Baugh has opened his draft year with consecutive 100-yard rushing games while tallying 28 carries for 296 yards (1st in SEC) and five rushing touchdowns (1st in SEC). Baugh has rushed for over 100 yards in three-straight games, becoming the seventh Gator to accomplish the feat and first since Kelvin Taylor in 2015. He has 562 rushing yards (187.3 YPG) and seven rushing touchdowns in that span. n Returning back-to-back punts for touchdowns of 64 and 70 yards in Week 2, WR Vernell Brown III set a program record with 173 punt return yards and became the first UF wide receiver with three TDs in a single game since 2020. n Florida’s all-time, NCAA-record scoring streak currently sits at 475-consecutive games dating back to 1988.
