Now entering his 13th season at the helm in 2023, Graba is poised to lead the Tigers through another record-breaking year. The Minnesota native was named SEC Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2015 and SEC co- Coach of the Year in 2012. In 12 seasons, Graba has led his student- athletes to 31 All-America honors (both NACGC/W and NCAA) and 30 All-SEC recognitions. Leading the way was Caitlin Atkinson who amassed nine All-America nods and named SEC Gymnast of the Year in 2016. Current sophomore Sunisa Lee finished 2022 with eight total All-America honors. With the help of continuous progress, Graba and the Tigers have enjoyed growth when it comes to home attendance each season. Each season, the team’s attendance average has climbed higher and higher and after averaging just 3,583 fans in his first season. The 2022 Tigers increased attendance in Neville Arena and sold out all five home meets (9,121). The Tigers have enjoyed 15 sellouts. Away from competition, Graba’s teams have also been outstanding in the classroom. In total, the Tigers have totaled 54 NACGC/W Scholastic All-America nods and 122 SEC Academic Honor Roll recognitions. Q: Why Auburn? I chose Auburn for a few different reasons. I loved everything about the campus and the community that Auburn is. I love the coaches and their coaching philosophy. I knew that they cared about me as an athlete but also as a human, which is something that was very important to me. Q: What is your major and what do you hope to do with it? My major is psychology and I hope to be a sports psychologist! Q: What is your favorite event to compete during a meet? My favorite event to compete during a meet is floor! I love to show off my personality and really perform for the judges and audience. Q: What are your goals during your time with Auburn gymnastics? My goals for my time at Auburn are to win a national championship and a few individual titles as well. I want to leave a legacy here at Auburn and have a positive influence on the program. Q: Who would you consider as your role model and why? I would consider my parents as my role models. They work really hard and have sacrificed a lot for me. They have taught me lots of things that I will hold with me all my life. Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In 10 years, I see myself having a family and working as a sports psychologist at a university. GET TO KNOW Hannah Hagle Q: What is your favorite snack and why? My favorite snack is strawberries because they are sweet! Q: What is a random fact about yourself? I love the outdoors! I love to hike, go on walks, and watch sunsets. I really love and enjoy water sports too, such as wake surfing and tubing. Q: What is your go to movie and why? My go to movie is Legally Blonde because it is funny and inspirational at the same time! Q: What makes you the most excited about joining the Auburn Family?
