In 1932 halfback Jimmy Hitchcock made Auburn history by becoming the first player to earn All-America honors. Eighty-nine years later, Roger McCreary continued the legacy of Auburn greats by becoming a first team All-American on three different lists in 2021. The first cornerback to earn All-America honors since Chris Davis in 2013, McCreary was placed on the Associated Press, The Athletic and ESPN first teams. n Seventy-two Tiger players have combined for 81 first team All-America honors. End Jimmy Phillips is Auburn’s most celebrated All-American, making 11 teams in 1957. Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley, Bo Jackson and Tracy Rocker were each named to 10 teams in a single season. n Auburn has had 22 seasons with multiple All-Americans and nine seasons with three or more. The CMA and ACM award winner and Alabama native who bleeds orange and blue will host a special Iron Bowl Eve show in Neville Arena benefitting Auburn student-athletes through On To Victory. Joining Green on this show are two rising Country music stars – Hannah McFarland and 2007 Auburn University graduate Drake White. Riley Green’s upcoming performance in Auburn follows the release of his latest project, Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe), an expanded edition of his 2024 album featuring six new tracks that highlight Green’s signature blend of heartfelt storytelling and southern authenticity. Tickets are available for purchase via AubTix.com. The concert is being carried out in partnership with On To Victory and Peachtree Entertainment. Proceeds from the event will support Auburn University student-athletes through On To Victory. About Riley Green CMA and ACM Award winner, Riley Green has been compelling country music fans to raise a drink, shed a tear, and, above all, celebrate where they are from, since first releasing his self- titled EP in 2018. His songs like the No. 1 2X-PLATINUM hit “There Was This Girl,” the 3X-PLATINUM-certified heart-tugger “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” and his chart-topping collab with Thomas Rhett, “Half Of Me,” have made Riley synonymous with what country music does best: making listeners feel something with his no-gimmick, relatable writing and classic feel. An avid sports fan, former athlete (Jacksonville State University quarterback) and outdoorsman, Riley is riding a wave of success after receiving four Academy of Country Music awards, being previously named a MusicRow Breakout Artist of the Year, a CMT “Listen Up Artist,” and one of CRS’s 2020 New Faces. The singer-songwriter’s third studio album, Don’t Mind If I Do, produced by Dann Huff, arrived on his birthday, October 18, via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment, with more of the signature Riley Green fans have come to know and love from the good ol’ boy who still lives in his hometown of Jacksonville, AL. Most recently, Green released the deluxe version, Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe), which includes six brand new tracks. Currently on an incredible hot streak, Green’s well- earned confidence in his work shines through across the 18-track set with five of the tracks being solely written including standouts “Jesus Saves,” the 2X-PLATINUM “Worst Way” and the title track—which finds Green reuniting with his “you look like you love me” duet partner, Ella Langley. Green is currently on the road for his headlining Damn Country Music Tour, which kicked off in Canada and finds him making stops across the US and UK this fall.
