In 1932 halfback Jimmy Hitchcock made Auburn history by becoming the first player to earn All-America honors. Eighty-nine years later, Roger McCreary continued the legacy of Auburn greats by becoming a first team All-American on three different lists in 2021. The first cornerback to earn All-America honors since Chris Davis in 2013, McCreary was placed on the Associated Press, The Athletic and ESPN first teams. n Seventy-two Tiger players have combined for 81 first team All-America honors. End Jimmy Phillips is Auburn’s most celebrated All-American, making 11 teams in 1957. Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley, Bo Jackson and Tracy Rocker were each named to 10 teams in a single season. n Auburn has had 22 seasons with multiple All-Americans and nine seasons with three or more. Driving these new features will be Musco’s Show-Light® Pro entertainment system. This upgraded control system integrates a variety of new equipment into the existing Musco TLC for LED® field-of-play lighting infrastructure at both venues to enable a wide variety of custom logo projections, lasers, and other static and custom scenes, effects, and show programming. Funded fully through a private gift to Tigers Unlimited from a generous Auburn donor, Jordan-Hare Stadium will become the first collegiate football stadium to integrate laser technology with their Musco lighting system during the gameday experience. “By uniting the unique traditions of Jordan-Hare Stadium and Neville Arena with cutting-edge technology, this partnership will create an unforgettable visual experience for fans and student- athletes alike. The introduction of these advanced lighting systems reflects Auburn’s ongoing commitment to innovation,” said Paris Buchanan, Senior Associate AD for Fan Experience and Creative Strategy. With this advanced entertainment technology in place, Auburn joins other iconic and professional venues at the cutting-edge of fan experience, including the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi Stadium, Cincinnati Bengals’ Paycor Stadium and the UK’s Wembley Stadium. “Musco is honored to continue our long-standing partnership with Auburn University, which has enhanced the safety and playability at Jane B. Moore Softball Field, Plainsman Park, the Woltosz Football Performance Center, the Auburn track facility, Neville Arena and Jordan-Hare Stadium,” said Musco Sales Representative Joe Wetrich. “The university’s new entertainment lighting and control system will unlock a wide variety of new and enhanced capabilities that transform the game experience for students, alumni, fans and student-athletes.” For those with sensory sensitivities, Auburn will continue to offer the Sensory Activation Vehicle, or SAV, located near Gate One. The SAV, introduced in 2023, is one of the programs offered by KultureCity, a Birmingham, Alabama-based nonprofit dedicated to creating sensory accessibility.
